Creative Commercial
Love this commercial for Verizon.
My IMC Video Debut
My interview was shot this past spring at the IMC Weekend. Thanks to Alex Wilson for the great camera work.
Targeting the Social Web
As a self-avowed social media geek I am all over the web. I am on Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Foursquare. I even have a blog and my own YouTube channel. All of which can be linked so that one site will update another when I post something new. However, since I am navigating the social web for both personal and professional reasons it makes good sense to keep a lot of this information separate depending on my intended audience.
My Facebook page is a mixture of personal and professional because I want my “friends”, who are the only ones with access to my profile, to know what is going on in my life on both fronts. Twitter is also a bit personal and professional but with a very general audience. My LinkedIn profile is more of an online resume featuring my education and professional experience. I have a professional blog where I can share my thoughts and ideas as an Integrated Marketing Communicator while my personal blog is where I share more about my family and topics that interest me personally.
While it can be a bit overwhelming to try and keep up with all these platforms there are tools available that are designed to make them more manageable. Right now Im experimenting to see how the auto post function of Posterous will allow me to update my streams independently or globally depending on my target. This post is intended for my Facebook, Twitter streams as well as my blogs.
Well see how it goes.

Social What?
There are a lot of folks, especially non-marketing folks, who don’t understand what “Social Media” is and does. Here is a video and slide show that should help you answer those questions.

Print is Not Dead
It is easy to dismiss print as an archaic and environmentally unfriendly medium, which is slowly dying. Instead of writing prints obituary we need strategic thinkers and innovators who can integrate print with social, mobile, direct and other marketing channels in order to reach the multiple touch points of an audience.
